"Whose Outcome is it Anyway?"

AMHOCN in collaboration with Barwon Health the lead agency of the Victorian Western Cluster Quality through Outcomes Project has produced a range of materials to support the sustainable implementation of routine outcome measurement to services. These materials include a DVD which describes the views of consumers, carers and clinicians towards routine outcome measurement and the opportunities routine outcome measurement can have in clinical practice.

This collaboration has also produced a range of promotional materials designed by consumers and carers. These materials can be downloaded from the AMHOCN page of this website and hard copies are avaliable on request, see the web page for details.

NOCC Decision Support Tool

The Australian Mental Health Outcomes and Classification Network (AMHOCN) has developed a ‘Decision Support Tool’ (DST) that enables users to compare profiles of their consumers against the national aggregate. The link below will take you to the DST page where you can download the tool and a comprehensive users guide and technical specifications manual. AMHOCN welcomes feedback on the tool to support further development. Visit the forum to discuss the tool, its use and possible enhancements

The first edition of the National Outcomes and Casemix Collection Standard Reports have been produced. These are available in the AMHOCN section of this website. These reports are only possible as a result of the extensive work undertaken by people working in Australia's public mental health services including consumers, carers, clinicians, service managers, who are implementing an outcomes focus within their services. AMHOCN gratefully acknowledges the efforts of these people and the staff of various mental health branches in states and territories who have coordinated the data collections and reporting arrangements.
